After reading Eiji Yoshikawa’s Musashi, I found a graphic novel that followed it’s story lightly and depicted it incredibly. Takehiko Inoue’s adaptation is a joy to read and I can’t wait to get my hands on the further releases (one volume a month for me). I’m only upto the fourth volume from the VizBig editions so I can easily see out the year for the future volumes to come.

Anyway, I bought the art book titled Water which catalogues rough drawing and paintings from the characters in from the series. Excuse the not so good pictures..

I’d recommend the Vagabond series to anyone interested in the Samurai genre, clearly a must have and anyone else interested in a respectable manga series that holds so much depth. Geddit’.
